Pegi Foulkrod
Author and Artist
Pegi was caregiver to the love of her life (also known as her husband), James Foulkrod, until he passed away in early 2016. While a caregiver to her Jimmy, Pegi reconnected with some of the activities she enjoyed in her younger years: art, playing piano and writing. These activities helped bring her peace during a chaotic and difficult time of her life. Pegi shared her love of art with Jimmy and he delighted in critiquing her creations almost as much as he puffed up with pride when she finished a piece.
Family means everything to Pegi and she is blessed with a treasured son, beloved daughter-in-law and a precious granddaughter. Pegi is forever grateful she and her five siblings were able to have their much cherished mother with them for 104 years!
In addition to being one of the co-authors of the 365 Caregiving Tips: Practical Tips from Everyday Caregivers book series, Pegi is an accomplished artist whose artwork is featured on the covers of all of the books.

Kathy Lowrey
Author
Kathy is a two-time recipient of the Healthline.com award for one of the “25 Best Alzheimer’s Blogs” while she was caring for, living with and loving someone with dementia. That person was her husband who had Lewy Body dementia. Although her role as spousal caregiver has ended, she still continues in a caregiver role as she cares for her late husband’s brother who has down syndrome.
Kathy is still active in caregiver support in one form or another but mostly online these days.
You can read Kathy’s honest, raw and sometimes hilarious blog (you need to understand and admit that sometimes caregiving for dementia can be hilarious), at www.thieflewybodydementia.com.
You can connect with Kathy on Twitter (which she admits she doesn’t quite get the concept of) (@1happykathy),
